Traveling Cyclist. Life Journalist. Folk Musician. Peace Advocator.
I am biking the California coast in the name of optimism, seeking to rediscover a youthful and humble existence. This summer, the Golden Horse (my bike) and I will set sails southbound from San Francisco to mosey Highway 1 through Santa Cruz, Big Sur, San Luis Obispo, Ventura, LA County and on to our final destination: San Diego. Open to the unknown, my wish is to rediscover a youthful appreciation for life's simplest phenomenons that are woven divinely within the open road by both nature's grandeur and man's history.
At the close of the bike ride, I intend to venture north to Mt. Veeder in Napa, where I'll spend the fall as with The Mosaic Project, an organization that empowers children with the skills necessary to promote peace within themselves and their communities.
I'll bring the optimistic movement to you by way of:
Song
Word
Singing by the Dozens-
Awake each day with a song. Yes, there will be a new day and a miracle that is. Keep in mind that your blood is warm and your heart pours radiance through your veins. Allow residual heat to extend beyond your own vessel. Hear your song harmonious in the mosaic.
When I awoke in the valley they were singing by the dozens Giving me hope that someday man too could rejoin their songs Maybe it even took the birds as slow a crawl before becoming wise?
